Hennie works hard to provide comprehensive and evidence-based physical therapy services to her patients.
She completed her Master's degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Western Ontario after finishing her Bachelor in Science degree with Honours at the University of British Columbia.
In 2010, Hennie started working as a physiotherapist in a private clinic where she served patients with musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions, including neck and back pain, arthritic pain, acute and chronic myofascial pain, overuse injuries, joint replacement surgeries.
In 2013, she focused her practice in Richmond Hospital, where she served in acute care, long-term care, community homes, and palliative care. Working within the health professional team, she gained a deeper appreciation of our current healthcare system.
She was trained as a pelvic floor physiotherapist at BC Women’s Hospital and Health Centre in 2013. She further advanced her knowledge in Pelvic and Women's Health Physical Therapy through ongoing education. After years of clinical work in different health care settings, she now narrows her clinical practice in Women’s Health and Seniors' Health. Her Women's Health Physiotherapy practice mainly includes (1) Pelvic Health (2) Cancer Rehab (3) Chronic Pain Management. She also classifies physiotherapy services according to life stages and women's needs: (1) Expectant Women (2) Postpartum Women (3) "Resilient" Women.

Hennie
the physio mom
At home, she is a mother of 2 beautiful children. After going through her own pregnancies and postpartum recovery, she gained a deeper interest and understanding of pelvic floor health. She believes all mothers need better self-care, self-love, and compassion. As mothers, we sacrifice for our children and make decisions based on their needs. Motherhood is definitely the most challenging and life-giving. Without caring for ourselves, we cannot care for the ones we love. Being authentic is the way we shall navigate through motherhood.
Hennie devotes her ongoing development in physical therapy to all women who deserve the best care for themselves. She dedicates her physiotherapy services to all women.
This is why she created HNG Women's Physiotherapy & Wellness Corp. See "HNG Women's Physiotherapy" section for more details.
Hennie serves Vancouver Coastal Health, Richmond Home Health, part-time. She welcomes all who are not currently receiving services from Vancouver Coastal Health, Richmond Home Health.
